No blog today, tra-la-la

I'll just have another glass of red wine, thank you, and save the words for another day. See me come back in full force next fortnight. But today I am celebrating the arrival of my first Afrikaans novel, Goeie dood wat saggies byt.

I started writing this story some twelve years ago and it has gone through many periods of change, hibernation, starvation, desperation... The ending still moves me to tears.

Many thanks to a great editing and publishing team in South Africa and the USA, who has brought this book into the world alive and kicking.
